Class and Subclass

Class

There are four basic classes in the game.
  • Fighter
    • Specialists for fighting with weapons. They have only "Warrior" subclass.
  • Thief
    • Specialists for an adventure. They have only "Rogue" subclass.
    • They cannot use some weapons, armors and shields which make a loud noise.
  • Priest
    • Clergy to serve God. They specialize in "Cleric" subclass, but also have few "Warrior" subclass.
  • Mage
    • Who skilled in knowledge, and manipulates magic. They specialize in "Sorcerer" subclass, but also have few "Warrior" subclass.

Subclass

Combination of sub-classes shows what is specialty of the class.

For example, fighters have only "Warrior" subclass. They are specialized for "Warrior", and they can battle with weapons, and can use only skills in "Warrior" subclass.

Priests have "Cleric" and "Warrior" subclass. They can not only use spells in "Cleric" subclass but also battle with weapons as a basic skill of adventurers, and can use skills in "Warrior" subclass. Similarly, Mages have "Sorcerer" and "Warrior" subclass.

Of course, if the fighter and the cleric have same level, the fighter has more "Warrior" skills and is good at fighting with weapons.

The character has not only "total" (generic) level but also levels for each subclass. When the character gains experience points, these are dispatched for each subclass, and the character gains levels for each subclass.

There are four sub-classes in the game.
  • Warrior
    • An ability to handle weapons by strength and to fight with them.
    • If the character has this subclass, he/she can equip items which have "Required STR" less than or equal to his/her STR.
  • Rogue
    • An ability for the adventure, such as acrobatics and finding/disarming traps.
    • The character who has this subclass can battle with weapons with a limitation. They can equip items which have "Required STR" less than or equal to his/her 3/4 (three of four) of STR.
    • If the character with this subclass joins your party, a time to adventure will be shortened slightly.
  • Cleric
    • An ability to use spells for clergies such as Cure.
  • Sorcerer
    • An ability to use spells such as fire, water etc.
NOTE: Besides the limitation of what items can be equipped by subclass, there are limitations by class.
